The holiday season of 2017 was a whirlwind, not just because of work, but because our Japan trip finally happened. After the biggest typhoon in 20 years hitting Tokyo as we were scheduled to land, Dylan and I finally rescheduled and had the international trip of a lifetime, or at least of our lives so far. In between work and holiday time with family, we compiled our shots together, largely thanks to the convenience of Google Photos, and edited a playlist of travel videos. I found myself so enamored with the shots we had I produced one video per location we visited, Tokyo, Mount Fuji and Hakone, Kyoto and Osaka. This felt reminiscent of reliving PAX East through the week following the event as I assembled interviews back in the spring, but I’m so glad to be able to share even a glimpse of Japan with you all, let alone with select shots in 4K!
Shots taken on Google Pixel 2XL, Canon Rebel t6i and iPhone 8, assembled in Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere Pro
So the #best9 that was genrated for me was super boring so i featured some of the photos featuring my favorite moments of this year featuring my international visits to #Tokyo, #MtFuji, and #Kyoto, hiking #Acadia on #BarHarbor, #Bloodorange show in Boston, meeting idols from #RoosterTeeth in #Austin at #RTX2017, having, what i would argue was one of my most successful trips to #TribecaFilmFestival in #NYC and #PAXEast in #Boston, a trip to #richmond #RVA and of course the #CapeCod sunset photos in the summer. 2017 was a tough one. Thanks to family, friends and peers it still amounted to something really memorable and special @cindigriffin @dylangriffn @sunderance @foghorneggcorn @sinsloth @tjc11394 @allysonaj @quinn.witha.q @gabrielleadelle @ryangibbs89 @travishymas @borgattichris @lizabeeauty lets kick 2018's ass because i know youre all amazing people and we can do great things.
